About Guadalupe's Scholars
The apparition of Our Lady of Guadalupe reflects one of the most astounding chapters in the history of Christianity, resulting in more than nine million conversions. She is the “Patroness of all the Americas,” for all Catholics, and for all people. Her message is as relevant for us today as it was then: to build a new civilization of love and truth.
College is a momentous time for young people to discern their vocation and develop their gifts. Students can underestimate their contributions, and like St. Juan Diego’s response to Our Lady of Guadalupe, think they are not talented or strong or holy enough to respond to God's calling.
Drawing upon the wisdom and graces of Our Lady, the Catholic Studies Guadalupe’s Scholars Program affirms and develops students' gifts and skills while deepening their faith within an academic setting. Through rigorous academics, engaging faith formation, servant leadership, and strong community, our Scholars grow in friendship, virtue, and character.
Personal academic counseling, faculty mentorship, and spiritual direction are just some of the reasons why our Guadalupe's Scholars find their purpose while at St. Thomas.
